Quick Facts December, 2007
[Page 1] Five years and counting...
Five years ago, the new San Angelo Area Foundation asked me to be its first president and chief executive officer, an offer I still consider the privilege of a lifetime. It is truly hard to believe all has transpired since. Here are a few highlights:
- Assets have grown to more than $50 million.
- More than 2,000 different donors have made contributions.
- More than 350 scholarships have been awarded.
- More than 150 organizations have benefited from foundation grants.
- More than $5 million has been given away in grants and scholarships.
Particularly inspiring, our endowed funds will continue to give forever! The combined gifts from more than 2,000 donors of $48 million dollars have been wisely invested, allowing the foundation to give away more than $5 million dollars and grow the assets to an excess of $50 million dollars. This truly reflects the goal of charitable endowments at the San Angelo Area Foundation.
I invite you to review this profile and contact us if we can serve you in your charitable endeavors.
Each of us at the foundation wishes you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
